When Willie went a wandering
			Around old Lisburn town
The townsfolk, they would stare at him
He used to make them frown

He threw his crusts and crumbs about
			To feed the starving birds
Some people told him off for this
			But he ignored their words

"The pigeons, " said old Willie
			"Carried messages in the war"
But The Law stepped in and warned him
Not to feed them any more

Some bigwigs too, looked round his house
And said it looked a mess
			Now Willie's got repair bills
			To urgently address

In a way that solves a problem
'Cos now he's short of dough
So he won't be throwing bread around
Since he has no bread to throw.
