NEWTOWNBREDA and Carryduff Lions Club, together with Tesco Newtownbreda, recently presented a cheque to Marie Curie Cancer Care. Grace Smyth, Community Fundraiser, Marie Curie Cancer Care said: "Marie Curie Cancer Care is pleased to accept this donation of 825 which has been raised by the Newtownbreda and Carryduff Lions Club, and the staff at Tesco through a Wine Tasting evening.

"I would like to thank Ivan, Jimmy and Michael, and the Lions for choosing Marie Curie Cancer Care. We would like to wish them every success with their future fundraising

achievements. All the services provided by Marie Curie Cancer Care are given free of charge, but it costs more than 4.5 million per year to run the Marie Curie Hospice, Belfast and our nursing services. Marie Curie Cancer Care depends heavily on the generosity of the general public for support."

If you would like to hear more about the services provided by Marie Curie Cancer or fundraising activities please do not hesitate to contact Grace Smyth on 028 9088 2061 or email grace.smyth@mariecurie.org.uk.
