The Lisburn Junior finalists, Caitlin McCrea,
Chantelle McAteer, Emma Irwin, Lauren Warren and Victoria
Withington.
A GROUP of talented Lisburn singers have been
going head to head this week in a live radio vote to be crowned
Young Star.
The Citybeat Young Star Search was in the
city on Saturday for the Mayor's Carnival Parade, searching for
young singing talent aged from 8-16.
Thousand of spectators watched the popular
contest at Wallace Park which was judged by X Factor runner-up
Tabby Callahan who also performed on the day.
Citybeat presenter Stuart Robinson said the
young people in Lisburn really lifted the bar for the
competition:
The Lisburn Senior finalists Ellen Finlay,
Felan Davidson, Joanna McNally, Rachael Leneghan and Victoria
Withington.
"This was the third heat of the summer so far and I have to
say that it was by far the best yet. The young singers were
truly brilliant and made it very hard for the judges to select
five finalists."
On Citybeat this week for the public vote are
Caitlin McCrea, Chantelle McAteer, Emma Irwin, Lauren Warren and
Victoria Lemon in the junior catergory. In the senior catergory
Ellen Finlay, Felan Davidson, Joanna McNally, Rachael Leneghan
and Victoria Withington are seeking support.
The overall winner from the Lisburn heat will
go up against the other regional winners from across Northern
Ireland being staged in Belfast later this summer.

The Citybeat Young Star Search is due to
return to Lisburn later this summer with another heat at Bow
Street Mall.
