Elizabeth Wilson with colleagues at Lagan
Valley Hospital
A NURSE for over 40 years has just retired from Lagan Valley
Hospital.
Elizabeth Wilson, who has worked at LVH for three decades,
worked more recently in the Medical Assessment Unit. Sharon
Skillen, MAU 3, said that Elizabeth, who she described as 'warm
and 'caring', will be sorely missed.
"We'll miss Elizabeth's unique sense of humour and she really
did look after us her home baking made many a day a bit
brighter," she said.
She is honest, warm, caring and hardworking, all the things
that make a great nurse and a great colleague.
"We would just like to thank her for all her hard work over
the years and wish her all the best for her future, which
includes more time with her family, especially her beloved
grandchildren and for her charity work and fundraising, which
she has always done with great energy and commitment.
"We hope Elizabeth will come back to see us and maybe do a
few shifts."
Hospital staff both past and present took Elizabeth out for a
meal, and she was also presented with flowers and gifts to mark
her retirement.
